Scholars’ Crest International School has been awarded an International School Award by the British Council.

Reaccreditation of our International School Award

SCIS is excited to register her application for the reaccreditation of the British Council International School Award. This recognition, awarded by the British Council, is a badge of honour for schools that demonstrate a year-long commitment to activities fostering an international dimension in education. It celebrates the efforts of schools to raise young people with cultural understanding and the essential skills needed to live and work as global citizens.

This school year, we are working on the following project topics:

  • Trash to Treasure
  • Building the Community
  • Life Springs Forth
  • Farm Fresh Magic
  • Sighting Signs and Catching Sounds
  • My Daily Routine (Ma Journée Quotidienne)
  • Cherished Rhythms
  • Market Adventures

These activities are designed to provide opportunities for learners and teachers to learn, share learning experiences, and collaborate to address global issues. Through these efforts, SCIS continues to equip her learners with the core skills required to thrive in a competitive and interconnected world, while deepening their awareness of our shared and interdependent global community.

Market Adventures: A Whole-School Learning Experience

As part of our British Council International School Award reaccreditation activities, our school proudly carried out “Market Adventures,” an exciting whole-school activity designed to broaden learners’ understanding of local and global markets.

From Early Years to Upper Primary, every pupil took part in engaging, hands-on activities such as:

  • Creating and managing mock currencies
  • Exploring goods from different markets
  • Learning about currencies used in different parts of the world, pricing, and trade
  • Discussing the importance of sustainable consumer choices

The activity promoted global citizenship, financial literacy, and cross-curricular learning in a fun, practical way. It also allowed learners to develop key 21st-century skills like communication, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.

“Market Adventures” brought learning to life, helping our pupils connect the classroom to the wider world, one market at a time.
