Emphasis is placed on physical education and sports development, which help in building social skills, sportsmanship and team spirit. Varied opportunities are given to pupils to discover, develop and improve their talents and other related skills. The school holds its inter-house sports competition biennially.
Co-curricular and extracurricular activities
There is a wide range of club and co-curricular and extra-curricular activities in which the children can participate and get involved to develop skills and talents while at SCIS. Children are encouraged to choose freely from the available programs. Some of these clubs and activities include the Cub Scout, Brownie, Junior Red Cross, JET Club, Climate change, Young Farmers’ Club, Drama and Dance Club, Soccer, Swimming, Homemakers, Craft, Basketball, Chess, Bible Club, Literary and Debating Club, etc.
Lunch is freshly prepared, cooked and served on the premises to all members of the school community. Learners are supervised during lunchtime. Fruits in season are served occasionally and drinks containing essential vitamins are available to children upon subscription.
After School Care
Pupils are required to be promptly collected from the school after closing. After-school care is however offered to parents who enrol for it. Children enrolled in the after-school care are supervised on their homework and other activities until 6:00 p.m.
